Stone that will still be there in thirty years
Patios, walkways, retaining walls and outdoor rooms in natural stone. A family business working across Jacksonville and the beaches since 1998.
We set it, we warranty it
Five years on workmanship. Our crews do the work; we do not sub the hardscape out to whoever is available that week.
Stone chosen for Florida
Sand base depths and joint materials that survive the summer rain, and stone that does not cook underfoot in August.
One crew, start to finish
The people who show up on day one are the people who sweep up on the last day. You will know their names.
A written price
Measured, drawn and quoted before anything is torn up. The number moves only if you change your mind, not because we found something.
About
Twenty seven years of laying stone in this county
My father started the business in 1998 doing driveways and paver work, and I took it over in 2016 after ten years of laying stone alongside him. We narrowed it down to hardscape because that is the part we are good at, and because the yards where something goes wrong three years later are almost always the ones where somebody rushed the base.
We are not the cheapest quote you will get. What you are buying is a base built properly under the part you can see.
- Residential hardscape only
- Jacksonville, the beaches and Ponte Vedra
- Family run since 1998
What we build
Three kinds of work, done properly
Patios & Walkways
Flagstone, travertine and shell stone, set on a compacted base with polymeric joints that hold up to summer storms.
Retaining Walls
Segmental and dry stacked walls with proper drainage behind them, which is the part that decides whether a wall lasts.
Outdoor Living Spaces
Seating walls, fire pits, outdoor kitchen bases and pool decks, built as one piece of work rather than four visits.
Why us
What we do differently
The base, not the surface
Six inches of compacted crushed concrete under a patio, eight under a driveway. It costs more and it is the reason our work does not move.
Drainage first
In Florida the water decides everything. We work out where it goes before we choose a stone, and we will tell you if your grade needs fixing first.
We finish before we start the next one
One job at a time per crew. No half built patio waiting three weeks while everyone is somewhere else.
Come and look at a finished one
We will meet you at the house, measure, and send a drawn plan with a price on it. If there is a job of ours nearby that you can walk on, we will take you to it.
